Tilke Focus Design (TFD) is a multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, and construction supervision firm, co-owned by Focus Design Partners (FDP) and Tilke Engineers & Architects. This partnership brings together specialized expertise across sports and leisure, hospitality, government, education, residential, infrastructure, and urban planning, with particular depth in world-class sports and motorsport facilities.

Our in-house team of over 450 full-time professionals spans architecture, civil, structural, and MEP engineering, complemented by dedicated project controls, BIM management, HSE, geotechnical, and specialist services. This integrated structure allows us to mobilize and manage all relevant disciplines internally, reducing reliance on external resources and enabling faster resolution of design and delivery challenges. ISO-certified workflows and advanced digital design tools support real-time coordination, progress tracking, and quality assurance across every project.

Across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, we operate within structured governance environments that demand close coordination between design, technical disciplines, and delivery teams. Our delivery model combines a strong KSA-registered presence with the multidisciplinary depth of its parent companies, regional branches, and affiliates, ensuring full regulatory compliance and technical capability at scale.

Chairman of the Board

WISSAM G. MANSOUR

M.Arch (Master of Architecture), Lawrence Technological University, and M.Eng. Management, University of Michigan, with over 20 years of experience in leading complex multidisciplinary projects across sports, equestrian, and commercial sectors. Licensed Architect (OEAB, Lebanon) and UPDA Grade A certified in Qatar. As Chairman of the Board, he provides strategic leadership, governance, and oversight of organizational and project delivery performance, ensuring alignment between design, technical, and business objectives

Vice Chairman of the Board

Dr. CARSTEN H. TILKE

Dr.-Ing. (Doctor of Engineering) in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Munich with over a decade of experience in leading multidisciplinary design teams and delivering complex international sports and infrastructure projects. As Vice Chairman, he provides strategic oversight, governance, and resource planning for project execution. His motorsport background, including Formula 1 circuit involvement and GT racing (overall winner, 24 Hours of Dubai 2009), contributes expertise in risk management, circulation planning, and high-performance facility operations.

2008

Expansion to Qatar

In 2008, the firm launched its office in Doha, Qatar, under the name Focus Design Partners, marking the beginning of its regional growth.

2010

Focus Group Affiliation

A new chapter began with the affiliation with Focus Group in Lisbon, Portugal, strengthening international ties and expanding global expertise.

2018

On the Global Stage

The firm played a key role in the design of venues for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, reinforcing its position in shaping projects of international prominence.
